Aquarium Fish Guide To Buying New Fish Part Ii

There are lots of factors you need to avoid when buying a new fish in other to avoid constant fish death and to have a save nice aquarium set up. In this second part of guide to buying new aquarium fish I will hint you on few more things to avoid.

* Make sure you only buy active fish with a good colour and which are swimming properly and behaving normally.

* Make sure that you take the compatibility of the fish with the existing fish into consideration. Is it a cannibalistic, territorial or community species? You have to know this before investing your money.

* Take your time to look at the behavior of the fish before buying it. Look at its movement. If it has clamped fins, marks along its flanks or ragged fins, give the fish a wide berth.

* Also will the new fish be adaptable to the water quality of the existing fish?

* Don’t buy fish which isolates itself from others sitting alone.

* Also avoid fish in tanks where you notice high rate of fatalities.

* Make sure you avoid sick or off-colour fish to avoid introducing disease into your aquarium.

* It’s highly important that you make enquiry about the history of a fish before you buy it.

* Another important factor you have to take note of is the site of your aquarium tank set up. Will it be ok for new aquarium?
